Image Manipulation
I planned to create a set of three posters that would strongly convey the negative impacts of animal extinction and global warming. In my plan, I wanted to make my posters bold, creative and also have a visual connection to those of WWF posters. I believe these three posters I have made successfully fulfil all of that criteria and therefore I feel that those designs were the best for being my final collection. I also feel that they coherently link both visually and technically and although there is one image that s landscape this doesn’t differ from their connection as I envision the landscape image on a billboard and so it wouldn’t work being portrait whereas the other two images I can se more as being bus stop posters.
• For this project I chose to investigate representing environmental issues like those of global warming through specifically manipulated photographs. I chose to portray this topic because I'm really passionate about the planet and protecting it and encouraging others to do the same. I think that by capturing powerful images then you can captivate the audience and awaken their empowered consciousness to result in change.
•The main topic within environmental issues I decided to look at was animal extinction, and portraying it in a negative light. I wanted my images to show the vulnerability and helplessness of our animals and what is and will be happening in the world if we continue as we are now.
