I discovered my love for photography at a young age - around eight years old - when I first picked up a camera. My grandad, a wedding photographer, spent many years pursuing photography as both a part-time career and a cherished hobby. His passion was contagious, and I was captivated by the magic of capturing life’s moments through a lens. I often begged him to let me accompany him to weddings, and on occasion, he indulged my curiosity, letting me tag along as his little assistant. Recognizing my growing interest, my grandparents eventually gifted me my very first digital camera - a small, pink compact Sony camera. Amazingly, I still have that camera today, a sentimental reminder of how far I’ve come since those early days.

As I grew older, my passion for photography deepened. I began exploring the finer details of photography, immersing myself in the art of composition, mastering the exposure triangle, and experimenting with a wide range of subjects. I eagerly honed my craft and discovered the limitless creative possibilities of a camera. I went on to study photography and a level 3 diploma and then a higher national diploma in Marine and Natural History Photography.
About Me:
Hey there! I’m Shannon—a photographer and creative image maker fueled by curiosity, creativity, and a deep love for adventure. While travel continues to inspire me, my current journey has led me into the vibrant world of Tourism and Event photography. Whether I’m capturing the buzz of a celebration, the soul of a unique venue, or the quiet details that tell a bigger story, I’m all about chasing those authentic, in-the-moment shots. Photography has always been my way of exploring the world—one frame at a time. Now, I’m diving into new experiences, meeting incredible people, and bringing bold, visual stories to life wherever the road takes me.
My Journey -
When it comes to travel, I feel incredibly fortunate to have experienced so many amazing places growing up. My first adventure abroad was at the age of nine—a cruise that sparked my love for exploring the world. To date, I’ve travelled to over 30 destinations across 11 countries, each one leaving a unique imprint on my heart.
Choosing a favourite is nearly impossible, as I’ve found something special in every place I’ve visited. From the stunning natural landscapes of Italy to the sun-soaked charm of Greece and the vibrant allure of Portugal, each destination has offered unforgettable moments and stunning photo opportunities.

Where to next? Only time will tell. I let my heart lead the way and my camera guide the journey. What I do know is that there are countless places across the globe calling to me, waiting to be explored and captured through my lens. To me, it's not just about the places I visit but the people, the cultures, the lifestyles. Over time, my photography has evolved— from landscapes and wildlife to a deeper focus on people, cultures, and everyday lives. For me, it’s no longer just about the places I visit, but the stories I find along the way. There's so much to see, experience, and share—and I can't wait to capture every moment.

2024 was a transformative year for my photography career. I started the year with an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a local business, creating digital promotional content. This experience not only deepened my understanding of digital content creation in a commercial setting but also allowed me to refine my videography skills. It was a rewarding project that helped expand my creative and professional capabilities.

Throughout the year, I also travelled extensively, capturing stunning shots of various locations along the way. These experiences allowed me to find my passion in travel photography and exploring a different way of living, further fueling my interest for visual storytelling.

Looking ahead to 2025, my goal is to advance my travel and tourism photography journey. I plan to focus on creating more compelling content to strengthen my portfolio and grow my freelance business. I’m excited to explore new destinations, take on fresh challenges, and continue developing as a visual artist.
